AEW star Renee Paquette dares to enter the ring

this week AEW Dynamite Watch Jon Moxley defeat Sami Guevara to advance to the AEW World Championship match with Brian Danielson at AEW Grand Slam next week. Mox overcame Guevara’s attempt to cheat when Anna Gay distracted the referee long enough for Tay Milo to sneak in from behind and inflict a low blow on the former champion. Guevara tried to steal the win from there, but Moxley was sent off and eventually hit the Death Rider for the win.

Renee Beckett, Moxley’s wife, was watching her at home and was saying to Milo – “Ummmmmmtaymelo…..let your man fight his own battles, and take your cheap shoes off my husband.” Milo boldly reacted Beckett to finally get into the ring and wrestle.

Despite being an onscreen personality in WWE for eight years, Paquette (fka Renee Young) did not participate in a wrestling match – even after her relationship with Moxley was announced. In 2020, she explained her theory as to why this didn’t happen.

“So, I was always on the verge of doing something,” Beckett said at the time.h/t Sportskeeda). “Anything, whether it’s a story, whether it’s about the body. I played sports. I was like a tomboy growing up. I wasn’t like the fragile little thing. Like, I’m going in there and getting dirty and getting rid of, I’m not afraid of that.”

“The way I see it anyway, I think with the success I’ve been able to have with WWE as just an announcer and as a character, I think the senior officials in WWE appreciated what you brought to the table,” he said. “They were afraid of smearing it by letting me take part in the story and not taking it seriously, or making me end a joke or something.”

Young is currently hosting two successful podcasts and has always been open to the idea of working with AEW. However, she recently met with WWE as a member of a committee WWE Rivals Series on A&E. Check out AEW’s full ticket Big smash hits event below:
